Today I would like to quote my sister's entry of May 19, 06.
"Last night or early this morning my only immediate family member left on the continent left the continent. This is the first moment in my life that I have been in such a situation. Let us have a moment of silence, please."
Except I have been in this situation... the first year I was in college. So this year we trade places, J gets to go spend 3 months in Brazil while I'm stuck up here working! :( She should still be in midair as she left very early this morning. Please pray for her safe travels if you read this in time. She has a stop in Manaus where she plans to sight-see a bit. :)
